Jawline fillers

Define and contour the jawline

Jawline filler adds definition and structure to the lower face, sharpening the angle of the jaw and creating a more defined boundary between the face and the neck. It’s a popular treatment for clients who want a more sculpted lower-face appearance, and for those wanting to soften the appearance of jowls or volume loss along the jaw.

Filler is placed at strategic points along the jawline (typically along the angle of the jaw and at the chin) to support and contour. The aim is balance and structure, not bulk.

What to expect from your treatment

Following a free consultation, where we’ll look at your jawline from multiple angles and decide on the placement plan, treatment usually takes around 30 to 45 minutes. Topical numbing cream is applied first, and treatment is most often delivered using a cannula to minimise bruising.

Some swelling and tenderness are normal for the first few days. Bruising is occasional and usually mild. Results are visible immediately, with the full settled effect at two weeks.

Results and timing

Jawline filler results typically last twelve to eighteen months. The jawline is a relatively stable structural area, which means filler placed here tends to integrate well and last.

Combining with masseter treatment

Jawline filler is often combined with masseter treatment for clients who want both definition and slimming. Filler defines and structures the jaw outline, while masseter treatment slims the muscle bulk at the side of the jaw. The two work well together. We’d plan this combination together at consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will jawline filler make my face look wider?

Done correctly, no. Filler is placed to define rather than add bulk. The aim is a sharper, more structured jawline rather than a wider lower face.

Jawline filler can help support the area where jowls form, softening their appearance. Whether this is the right approach depends on the cause and severity of the jowls, and we’d discuss this honestly at consultation.

Twelve to eighteen months for most clients.

It depends on what you’re trying to address. If your concern is muscle bulk at the side of the jaw, masseter treatment is the right answer. If your concern is definition and structure along the jaw outline, jawline filler is more appropriate. Some clients have both.
