Improve chin projection and balance
Chin filler is used to improve the projection of the chin, balance facial proportions, and define the lower face. A well-proportioned chin contributes more to overall facial balance than many people realise. Subtle improvements to chin projection can have a noticeable effect on the side profile and on how the lower face frames the rest of your features.
Treatment uses hyaluronic acid filler placed precisely along the chin to extend, lengthen, or balance as needed.
What to expect from your treatment
Following a free consultation, where we’ll look at your chin in profile and from the front and discuss the result you’d like, treatment usually takes around 30 minutes. Topical numbing cream is applied first.
Some swelling and tenderness are normal for the first few days. Bruising is occasional and usually mild. Results are visible immediately, with the full settled effect at two weeks.
Results and timing
Chin filler results typically last twelve to eighteen months. The chin is a relatively stable area with limited movement, which means filler placed here tends to last well.
Combining with other lower-face treatments
Chin filler often pairs well with jawline filler, with treatment to marionette lines, or with anti-wrinkle treatment for pebble chin. Each addresses a different concern and can be combined where appropriate. We’d plan a treatment together at consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is chin filler the same as a chin implant?
No. A chin implant is a surgical procedure using a permanent device. Chin filler uses a hyaluronic acid product that’s gradually absorbed by the body. Filler is reversible and adjustable; an implant is not.
Will it look obvious?
Used conservatively, chin filler should make your chin look more balanced rather than larger. The change is often most noticeable in profile, where small improvements to projection can make a real difference.
How long does it last?
Twelve to eighteen months for most clients. Some find the results last longer with repeat treatment as collagen support builds in the area.
Can chin filler help with a recessive chin?
It can improve the appearance of a slightly recessive chin in profile, but it’s not a replacement for surgical correction in cases where the underlying skeletal structure significantly differs from the desired outcome. We’ll discuss what’s realistic at consultation.
