The Nefertiti lift is a non-surgical anti-wrinkle treatment that targets the platysma muscle, the broad sheet of muscle running across the front of the neck and up under the jawline. With age, repeated movement, and posture changes, the platysma can become more pronounced, creating visible vertical bands on the neck and pulling down on the jawline.
Treatment placed along the platysma relaxes the muscle’s downward pull. The vertical bands soften, and the jawline appears subtly more defined. The treatment is named after Queen Nefertiti, whose famous bust is often cited as a reference for an elegantly defined jaw and neck.
What to expect from your treatment
Following a free consultation, treatment involves a series of small, precisely placed injections along the bands of the neck and just under the jawline. The treatment itself takes around twenty minutes.
Mild redness and small injection bumps are normal for an hour or two afterwards. There’s no significant downtime, and you can return to your day immediately.
Results and timing
Softening begins to appear at around one to two weeks, with the full effect visible at around four weeks. Results typically last three to four months.
Who it suits
The Nefertiti lift is most effective for clients with visible platysmal banding or a pulling sensation along the jawline caused by muscle activity. It’s less effective where the appearance is mainly caused by significant skin laxity, in which case different treatments or a referral may be appropriate. We’ll assess this honestly at consultation.

Will my neck still move normally?
Yes. The treatment relaxes the platysma muscle but doesn’t paralyse it. Normal neck movement and function are preserved.
How is it different from masseter treatment?
Masseter treatment targets the chewing muscle at the side of the jaw, slimming the lower face and easing teeth grinding. The Nefertiti lift targets the muscle of the neck and the underside of the jaw, softening bands and lifting the jawline. They can be combined where appropriate.
How long does it last?
Most clients see results lasting three to four months.
