Chemical peels

Improve tone, texture, and clarity

Chemical peels are professional-grade exfoliation skin treatments that use carefully chosen acids to lift away dead skin cells, support cell renewal, and improve skin tone and texture from beneath the surface. The result is fresher, clearer, more even-toned skin over the course of a treatment plan.

I tailor every peel to the individual skin in front of me. The acid type, concentration, and depth used are all selected based on your skin type, concerns, and tolerance. Peels can address dullness, congestion, uneven pigmentation, fine lines, and the appearance of blemishes.

What to expect afterwards

Skin reaction varies by peel strength. Most clients see mild redness for a few hours, followed by a few days of light flaking or tightness as the skin renews. Stronger peels may cause more pronounced flaking. Detailed aftercare guidance is provided after every appointment.

Strict sun protection (SPF 50, daily, no exceptions) is essential for at least two weeks after every peel. Picking or peeling the skin manually is not permitted. We’ll go through all of this together.

Why a course of three

Most concerns respond best to a course of three peels spaced two to four weeks apart, working with the skin’s own renewal cycle. Each peel builds on the last, with cumulative results visible across the course. A block of three is available at a reduced rate.

Suitability

Peels aren’t suitable for everyone. Active skin conditions, certain medications, recent sun exposure, and pregnancy can all affect suitability. We’ll review all of this at consultation. If a peel isn’t suitable, an alternative treatment is usually a better option, and I’ll recommend one honestly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long until I see results?

Some improvement is visible after the first peel. The most noticeable changes typically come from a course of three, with results continuing to develop for a few weeks after the final treatment.

Some flaking is normal for a few days after most peels. The amount depends on the strength of the peel and your skin’s individual response. Picking or pulling at flaking skin is not permitted; it has to be allowed to come away naturally.

Usually after 24 hours, depending on the peel used. Specific guidance is given at the appointment.

Most clients describe a tingling or warm sensation during application, which settles quickly. Stronger peels can feel more intense. The treatment is closely monitored throughout and adjusted to your tolerance.

Some peels are suitable for richly pigmented skin and others aren’t. The peel type and strength is carefully chosen based on your skin tone, recent sun exposure, and history. We’d plan this carefully at consultation.
